Daikin releases a new split system air conditioner: The Alira X

The Daikin Alira X is the newest model to be added to Daikin’s already large range of split system air conditioning units and raises the bar with built-in Wi-Fi and advanced air purification via Daikin’s new ‘Streamer Technology.’

The Alira X can be operated remotely from virtually anywhere via the inbuilt Wi-Fi mobile controller. Adjust settings and temperatures from inside or outside the house, ready for when you arrive home.

New “Streamer Technology”

Featuring the patented “Streamer Technology” the Alira X filters the home environment to provide superior indoor air quality.

The three layer filtration system has been designed to capture, suppress and break down bacteria, odours, mould and allergens as well as any outdoor and indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde.  The Alira X has been approved by the National Asthma Council’s Sensitive Choice program for people with asthma and allergies.

Independent testing has shown “Streamer Technology” shown to:

1. Eliminate Pollen – more than 99.6%1 in 2 hours
2. Eliminate Allergens – more than 99.61%1 in 24 hours
3. Eliminate Mould – more than 99.9%2 in 24 hours

To provide further optimise the quality of the indoor air, the “Mould Proof Operation” function will automatically activate at the end of systems operation to sterilise and dry the indoor unit to prevent any mould growing internally in the unit.

Additionally, the indoor unit will precisely control and dehumidify the environment via the inbuilt humidity sensor.

Providing superior energy efficiency and performance, the Alira X is equipped with many energy saving features including Economy Mode and Daikin’s 2-Area Intelligent Eye technology which will adjust the set temperature by plus or minus 2 degrees when there is no one detected in the room, saving energy.

Available in reverse cycle or cooling only, the new Alira X offers a modern and sleekly styled addition to any room.
